Mandy Dhillon

Mandy Dhillon is a leading, and established Asian female cinematic videographer. Based in Staffordshire, she surges around the country to provide videography services to her clients across the county. She entered this male-dominated industry over 10 years ago, and has grown her business and its reputation from strength to strength ever since.

Prior to cinematic videography she ran a successful business in airbrush training; travelling the world, teaching everything she knew about air-bushes to would-be retailers. In 2007 she had her son, and in 2009 a daughter, and then decided to spend more time with family. It was around this time she decided to forge a new career in cinematic videography.

Her first client was actually an airbrush tan client, who was to be married on a given weekend.  Mandy saw an opportunity, and offered to cover her wedding for free, and it was agreed. So Mandy bought her first camera, light and a tripod and turned up to film, with very little experience.  Then began the editing challenge, supported by YouTube! When the bride watched her video, she cried tears of joy. Nowadays Mandy’s enterprise is somewhat more sophisticated: from Canon and Sony cameras, a full audio suite, to an operational drone and crane operators at hand  - she has everything you need for the ultimate tailor-made cinematic video package for any client. She is not only largely self-taught, but has supplemented her skills through overseas courses and seminars by key videographers in the industry.  She has also filmed worldwide including Europe, Thailand and India.

Then two years ago she took a leap into the world of social media, specifically YouTube, to showcase her work and the scenes behind a wedding. In her first year on YouTube she achieved 749 subscribers. By her second year she massed over 30 thousand subscribers and the channel has had over 10 million views.

Her philosophy: she believes that you can do anything in life if you put your heart into it.
